Have been to the TÜV on friday - so MOT with the ecomobile.
What seems simple for any kind of registered vehicle is different for a cabin motorcycle.
The engineer is not supposed to drive it.
In Germany a test drive is recommended for a motorcycle MOT or TÜV.
The regulations for the ecomobile recommend an extra course before you are allowed to drive it on public roads. And that does perfectly make sense.
So - I had to face a new engineer facing a short sentense for start: "please give me a shor introduction and hand over the keys."
Me: "Are you sure you want to dump it and pay for it?"
He: "I have to drive it."
Me: "Think of my question - are you sure you want to pay for it?"
He: "ok - I can`t do the test if I must not drive."
Me: "I did not say you must not drive - I said you will not be able to. I would teach you but it would take a day or two... And I add that no TÜV engineer ever drove it the last 28 years..."
He: Did more than just test it and found nothing to complain about - puh...
