Lovely shot Richard, a true morganeer! Do you run winter tyres/carry a set of chains? Thanks, it's got to be done sometimes doesn't it. No just go as as she is exercising normal slippy driving techniques, I wouldn't be out if I expected to meet anybody else mind you I don't have much faith in some of them.

This is my regime:
1) Fill tank: Add in fuel Stabiliser 2) Inflate tyres and drive onto tyre shoes 3) Roof up 4) Clean and dry car 5) Wax car 6) Vaseline bonnet tape 7) ACF 50: beading and running strips 8) Cling film on wiper blades to stop them adhering to windscreen 9) Dehumidifier silica bags in footwells 10) Trickle charger set up 11) Bright duster into exhaust to discourage mice 12) Mouse traps set around car 13) Soft fitted dust cover onto car 14) Switch on garage dehumidifier 15) Close garage and walk away crying 16) Next day think "sod it", undo all of previous work and take car out for a drive
Particularly 16 And 17) Fit a set of Michelin CrossClimate tyres if you can get them in the right size.

Lay the car up for winter? Never! OK not used as much if icy and salted roads but other times yes. Hood up mostly with unless a crisp clear day (or instructing) when appropriate clothing worn, but a good idea to leave the hood up to keep it’s shape anyway. ACF50 or 3in 1? How about Evans Waterless ?

I put my winter tyres on - best days of year are frosty with bright sunshine.
Otherwise hood on heater up....

Why not just drive it? I was reading all these things people do and felt guilty that I basically shut the door till next time I hop in. I obviously check stuff but dont 'prep' as such. I stretch out the hood though when its cold, I figure it might get crinkly otherwise.

Yeah, I drive mine 12 months a year so not much difference for me.And she's outside full time too. I have done the following: 1, Put some more fabsil on the outdoor cover (although fighting a loosing battle here) 2. Put the hood up as it stops the rain pooling on the tonneau cover (as it seeps through the outdoor cover) 3. Start hoovering up all the fallen leaves that will cover my drive regularly for the next couple of months.. Forecast shows a nice gap in the rain this moring so will wap up and take the bike out for a blast (also kept outdoors all year round )

Yes, did this at the start of the year and wish I had done it earlier now. I have found the ride to be more comfortable and quieter as well as stickier in poor conditions. I have also noticed that the car doesn't 'tramline' on the roads it used to when damp. Wouldn't venture out in snowy/ icy conditions if there was too much salt on the roads but am looking forward to motoring through the year as always safer in the knowledge that the tyres can cope with the conditions.
