Definitely reassuring to see the chassis being dipped!

Any way you could copy the text and paste it into this Thread? We in the USA cannot (or at least in the Seattle ares) view the video.

Not sure what you mean by text? The voiceover says that "In Morgan's Mallvin factory the Jazzy is given 10 baths" if that helps.

Maybe the Jazzy got dipped because the cameras were there. Liked the "powerful battery will hold its charge for months" comment.

I must admit that I had the same thought. Some Jazzy's have a very thin coating so presumably have been rushed out the door to meet a deadline.

Ian, that was perfect, thank you.

My jazzy must have been in the dip tank many times because it is thick and sticky with crud.

In any case, back to the NVH. Here are some photos of the install so far, the test drive will happen next week some time.

I notched the floor pan to go around the front BB Mount that hangs below the frame.

There was plenty of room to slide the two extra oil lines for Morgan Customs BB Cooler kit, much better than the NVH clearances. I just need to finish the hookup of the oil lines and then mess around with the ridiculous heated seat wiring.
To get the tunnel off you must unplug the wiring that powers the heated seats. That all makes sense BUT the connector is waaaaay up under the battery box electrical panel area. It took two people to find it , one wiggling the cable in the cockpit and another looking to see what moved where!! It is not wonder mechanics charge so much to work on a Morgan. I will install a waterproof connector (the M3W one was not waterproof) somewhere it can be reached easily.

From the video;
... Once the welding is complete, the chassis is ready for a bath. Ten baths in fact. This is a rust proofing process called Autophoretic coating.

First, the chassis must undergo a thorough cleaning process before finally before dipping into a vat of PVDC resin based liquid. This material protects every nook and cranny of the steel.

Finally, a technician wearing a full body suit and equipped with an independent air supply, sprays the chassis with a coating of black paint. Bright, multidirectional lighting ensured he doesn’t miss anything. ...

The images from the video showing the chassis being dunked matches the pictures from ABT's web page (especially the work floor area to the right), so very likely that the ten step process and painting is done at ABT where the chassis is made rather than at the Morgan workshop.

http://www.abtproducts.com/autophoretic-coating-in-the-uk/

Also to note, when showing the chassis being built from steel tubing and the welding, the workers uniform/work clothes have ABT tags on them.

Thanks for that info and the link.

That statement about painted black is sort of odd because although it is black in color it sure does not look like paint, more like tar.

How do you guys keep the rear of your M3Ws so clean, you must have good roads to drive on not the mountain dust bowl up here?

It's all smoke and mirrors, mine has definitely not been dipped as there is bare metal inside the tubes.

Well, I clean it before I work on it and take photos, otherwise it would be difficult to distinguish the difference between the M3W and a farm implement. What sort of amazes me is how dirty the cockpit gets! Not quite as bad as being last in line riding through the desert chasing a string of motorcycles while dodging cactus.
