Tried living with the exhaust note on my roadster but crave a nice growl on acceleration but wary of overpowering drone on cruising. Have decided to have a custom exhaust installed, they use unbaffled silencers generally. Iam also debating increasing the bore size an extra 1/4 inch for the tail pipes. Don't want to miss any opportunities available. Probably a personal thing, but has anyone gone custom route and recommendations, comments of experiences. Can always remember following a TVR t350 and made me smile. Best Regards Malcolm

I fitted straight though silencers to my Dads roadster, i got them made up for it, they are similar to the Rutter ones, could £200 for the pair and a fitting kit.
It sounds a lot better but is is no V8 and on tick over is still quite quiet..
I would suggest you do the silencers first, then if you want more noise you do straight through pipes at the back.

If you are close enough to Jctn 18 M4 there is a specialist who starts with silencer disconnected (loud) - and makes and fits a new box to suit your requirements.
About £250 and service while you wait.
