Camber is fixed, without heating things up and bending stuff. Should be around 0.5 degrees negative. Toe should be about 1/8" in

Heavy steering is more likely that the car has the nylon kingpin bushes and they've swollen and grabbed the kingpins, only solution is to change the kingpins and bushes

We manufacture the correct Oversize phosphor bronze bushes and induction hardened EN19 Hard Chrome kingpins to fit

IcePack-yep experience counts I went to a local garage to get some advice (they deal with pretty much anything old US wise plus MG’s once in a while) super decent people yet given their response of “nice car, haven’t seen one of those before” 😳😳 I thanked them and went on my way as did not want to be the experiment for them:)

On later cars the manual suggests 0 - 3.2mm (⅛") toe-in. This equates to max 0.5° total between wheels.

Also from manual camber should be 0.5° negative. This is adjustable on later cars with lower camber plate and rounded end kingpin's.

Simon - is there a check I can do to determine if the bushings are binding or is it a strip and replace item?

Is there any mention of caster angle?

I’m waiting on a new owners handbook as the previous owner mislaid it so really appreciate all the info.

If the bonnet does a nodding donkey movement on a bouncy road they are sticking. With Devol bushes if the screech as you steer they need lubricating.

Greasing guide

You can check if you still have the nylon bushes by looking at the Kingpin top bolt.

The nylon bush version doesn't have a grease nipple fitted.

If this is the case then its a definite strip and replace.

You will need to find someone to ream the bushes out to the correct size once fitted

Should be 6 degrees, however may be 4 degrees- isn't adjustable without heating things up and bending them....
