Early retirement and getting a Mog seems to be a regular theme - same with me recently. I'm not all that far from you either, so shout when you are having a drive out this way and we can compare notes. Keith, thanks for the offer. I suspect it will be next spring now before we venture up to The Lakes. My wife has been shielding since March, so we have been ultra careful with our trips.

Hi David
Welcome from another Lancs owning 4/4 owner (who lived in North Bolton for many years.)
I've only been to the Inn at Whitewell in the Morgan once and couldn't park so drove on through the Trough of Bowland.
Nice car is it dark grey? Not heard of a Phantom Ive looked it up its a William special edition in Satin Black

Welcome from another Lancastrian I took a couple of trips over / around Belmont in August / September as I'm not that far away - just south of Preston As a coincidence - was also up near the Inn at Whitewell in early March - Daighters getting married next door at St Michaels next July She wants to use my Morgan as her wedding car...... so plenty of polishing next year  Isn't Belmont part of Greater Manchester now? (Runs, ducks, and hides............)

She will have to have a trim dress, if she is to get in and out of a Morgan!
Belmont is in Blackburn with Darwen, which is a pity as they do not know what to do with rural areas. It would make more sense if we were still in Lancashire, which we were when moved here 30+ years ago.

I'm going back more than 30 years to my youth David but I recall we used to drive from the Wilton on Belmont Road at closing time in Bolton to Belmont about a mile down the same road to get another half hour in the pub due to Blackburn licencing hours.

(Runs, ducks, and hides............) My daughter wanted to be driven to her wedding in the Mog - I said she would not get a dress into the passenger seat. She designed and made her own dress so it folded over and fitted into the cockpit very well. Saved me a fortune - she`s obviously got my Yorkshire genes. Only trouble was when we arrived at the church a voice shouted "would the lady in white please move out of the way so I can photograph the car!". Obviously someone with priorities right.
