hi just wondered if anyone has had front(lh) stubaxles snap off , back in the 70's I owned 2 1961 +4's and fortunately for me sold the vehicles on only to learn of this later the then owner of one of these vehicles was only travelling at 25mph so lucky, not sure of the details of the second one but glad they didn't kill anyone , I currently have a 78 4/4 so might get it tested , probabely our bumpy roads regards bruce

Yup. Snapped off the left side on a '70 4/4.

'71 or '72 (don't remember which)4/4 left front stub axle snapped, but that was on the track with racing slicks.
