I bought my first Plus 8 at 23. Quite an unusual purchase.

Yeah...planning for the worst while hoping for the best, could do with the addition of some blinkers or a minimum of rose tinted glasses, perhaps with some alcohol too...?

Yup it is being so cheery that keeps me going... laugh2

Personally I have never allowed a credit card to go unpaid by the due date, thereby using it as nothing more than a sort of monthly account. I now use it, via phone and watch, as contact less, cash less, payment.

I don't recall ever buying a vehicle I could not pay cash for. The only debts I have ever had are mortgages, leases, or business related. The very idea of borrowing money for household goods or a holiday is something I don't understand.

In Italy the year of one's birth is referred to as the "class". It really actually refers to when one was called up for compulsory military service but the year of birth is the reference. I was born in '46, otherwise known as the "Class of iron".

Me too. Except I've never leased anything or borrowed anything for my business either. I did borrow the money for my first motorcycle from my Old Man, though.

It pained me having to have a mortgage of £11,500 and had it paid back early at 50.

The only borrowing in my life.
