I was 23 years old when I bought my first Morgan 4/4, it was at the Royal Navy Battle of Trafalgar celebration in the Officers Mess. I was a young Royal Marines Lt sat next to a much older Navy Commander, we were both very "happy" and I woke up the next morning owning a Morgan and still own that very same Morgan (Megan) today.

You must be the outright winner Bruce, what a great story clap

I remember fondly being invited up to the BRNC to celebrate Trafalgar night as a serving Marines guest and I'll never forget it, it was the year the SW Marines lost 30 of their guys in action and the role call chilled you to the marrow.
Banging head next morning mind.

Both my daughter and son, had their first drive in my Roadster, the day they got their drvers license at 18 years old. We thought that that would make an appropriate start of their driving career. BTW, I was 47 when I acquired my first Morgan.
Given we are an old bunch on this forum, we may better ask who is the oldest Morganeer?

I know, I know...I shouldn't even be contributing to the question.
However, I will start the bidding as a mere youth at 65.

So glad you were able to experience Trafalgar Night in a proper Royal Navy establishment with a Bootneck too, it is something to experience but the next morning can be tough (especially if you are Duty Officer). There are always the sombre moments which bring back the harsh reality of battle.

Bought mine for cash at the age of 32 in 1983. Still own it. Ran it for the first 2 years as a daily driver, then for a few years owned airport and rail car park cars. BMW 528i cost me £700, a dog. Lancia HPE, £500, lovely car but kept breaking down. And the best a Renault 12 paid £250, ran it for 3 years, never serviced it, passed 3 MOTs first time. Blew the head gasket one night at 90MPH on the M4, sold it as a non runner for £250. The 90s saw employment improvement and company cars.

Heres some footage of junior driving the 3 wheeler at the Lemans Classic in 2012 just before he'd taken his driving test. He's now now 26 and driving in the Morgan Challenge series in his own car.

Hmm, I was brought home from maternity hospital at 5 days old, in the 1972 4/4 2 seater bought new by my Dad.

I was wrapped in as many blankets as the midwives could find. It was a particularly cold April day in 1978.

We still have the car
