The Centa roller inserts generally have a life of about 10,000 miles give or take 2,000 miles. That said, some have lasted much longer and some much less. The way you drive the car does make a difference, one of the M3W racers managed to destroy the Centa rollers in a few hundred miles. There was a bad batch of rollers about in 2018-19 as well with several Centa failing at low mileages. If you have more than 4,000 on your car it probably doesn't have them, as they would have failed.

Phil Bleazeys Centa modifications improve the operation of the Centa and allow the inserts to be replaced in under an hour, rather than a day or two with the engine out, well worth doing if you have the chance. The answers to many questions new owners have about the M3W can be found here: https://www.mtwc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Final-150.pdf . Glad you are enjoying your M3W.

When I first got mine I felt like the engine was a bit constipated, especially when trying to accelerate up a freeway on-ramp. I now realize that was the "break in" mode of the ECU which limited the RPMS. I had also added the G56 air cover and thought that is why things changed. I now think it was probably after the break in period of the ECU

I changed mine this year after 25000 miles on the Centa compensator and they were fine. Only changed because I did the Bleazey modification

I have often stuck a finger up the bottom hole and I have not retrieved any rubber pieces

you know getting to know the car is a scary thing. I find myself wanting to fix things before they need to be addressed. I only have 250 miles on the car and I am ready to pull the engine and do the upgrade. I am thankful for forums, but sometimes I wonder if it puts crazy thoughts in my head. I want to buy the kit to have in waiting. If I plan on keeping the car, which I do, I might as well have all the improvement modifications on the car.

If these fail prematurely, is this a warranty item or they consider it a wear item and you are on your own??

Yes, you are covered if they have failed in normal driving.

Just so we are all on the same page as to which aperture to inspect.
