I'm a 5x ex 911 owner, keep buying them, realise that they are no fun under about 120mph, sell & buy something more interesting to drive.
Currently have an AMG SLC as a daily driver, faster than a 911 in a straight line but doesn't do corners / damp roads very well. It makes it much more fun to drive.
Keep thinking about swapping the SLC and the recently acquired Plus 4 for a Plus Six - ends up with the power, aircon & auto box of the SLC with the charm & looks of the Plus 4. I cant decide if that ends up as a good all rounder or just something badly compromised everywhere.

Not mine but close to the 1968 2 litre 911S with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, owned in the mid 70's. It had been re-sprayed in a Ford special emerald green metallic. ![[Linked Image]](https://cdn.elferspot.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/1972-porsche-911s-coupe-2000x1334.jpeg) Bought with 85,000 miles on the clock and sold with 130,000. Everything still worked including electric sunroof. Only parts attended to were overhaul of throttle body spindles and cam chain tensioners, oh and had to put a new clutch cable in. Idling was poor when bought but a quick tweak of the distributor fixed that. Remember the rev limiter acting at something over 7,000 rpm and acheived by a clever centrifugal rotor arm in the distributor. Sadly the bodywork let it down though. PCD 756G went to Malta still looking OK.

Had many Porsches over the years.
The last new one back on 2007 a bright orange 997 GT3 RS.
Had 928’s, 993’s, 964RS etc
Just sold a 928S4, I love them.
My nipper has a 1970 long bonnet, scruffy thing with a 3.0, some of you might have seen it at the factory
Lately I’ve list my way with them. The ones I want can only be bought with large brown envelopes

The one I should never have sold 1993 964 Carrera 2 bought at 18k miles sold at 65K 2 years later for what I paid, just some horrendus servicing costs in those 2 years. ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2020/11/03/download2-135.md.jpg) The last one I had, 997.2 Carrera 4S manual, bought at 12k miles sold at 40k 2 years later for £20k more than I paid. ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2020/11/03/P1030380-copy-2-2.md.jpg)

Extremely tactile car that satisfies the need for fun at sensible speeds. Reading comments on here about the Plus 6 suggests to me that it's flawed, but I have never driven one personally.

Blimey if I had to live a life without selecting and enjoying flawed things it would be a dull life. Even worse if the good lady wife had to do the same I would not be with her now, that would be rotten.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Tried a lotus, in 2017 I had a new Elise 220 sport, cracking performance, aircon broke at 4 weeks old, didn't manage to fix it in the 18 months I had the car. Didn't have a proper open top feel, more like a big sun roof. Most importantly I hurt my back & really struggled to get in & out the car, once in, the carbon fibre seats with minimal padding didn't help.

I had 2 Boxsters which I really enjoyed, and now have a GT3 which I love. Have had the GT3 8 years and still a thrill each time I drive it. Truly a very special car. ![[Linked Image]](https://thumbsnap.com/i/yi6PSFeG.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://thumbsnap.com/i/MhAaFCom.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://thumbsnap.com/i/YZX3822R.jpg)
