Hi, is it still possible to get the Cx +4 with the old style hood? My biggest mistake was to order my ´ 18 +4 with the easy up. It just looks like a old beetle conv. and ruins the line imo. And I must say, it is not a bit better than the old dot on hood. My old +8´s were dryer inside and it takes the same time to build up.

Dont know for sure, but expect that the protruding studs along the top of the windsceen may be thought to be risking further injury for any errant pedestrian as he/she makes their way up the bonnet towards the screen, having jumped in front of you etc.etc.etc....?

Only Morgan can answer that, but it would be one-of-a-kind. I would doubt that they are interested. But there is still the alternative option to go to Hamburg, there they did similar things before: ![[Linked Image]](https://s12.directupload.net/images/201104/bshnz6t5.jpg) Markus

I guess if the screen frame is the same you could get it converted for a huge cost.

I think you're correct, don't forget even the little perspex window sliders had to be changed to circular as the originals had corners

If you could obtain a retro screen and hood stays it shouldn't be that difficult. I also hate the look of the easy up.

I have to agree the easy up hood completely spoils the flowing looks of a Morgan and much prefer the old traditional hood. I love the picture of the green car and thanks for posting

Thanks for your replies but it would only be a option for me if they offer it as an extra from the factory like they did on the old ones for a hefty price. All other ways are too expensive I think. I really like the new plus four and the only negative impressions were the way too high seats and and the compared to my car massive and high front window which spoiled the line a bit imo. So my ideal would be lower seats, a lower window and an old style hood to get „the look“. But hey, life is not a wish concert. 😜 Btw, the green car looks great! Just how it should be!

Tommog, I get your point about the better proportions of the trads, for my liking the wings of the P4 are a little too small for the enlarged bodys. One reason why I choosed the Plus 6. The easy up hood though is a good compromise between look and practicability, if you intend to use the Mog in all weathers. The green P8 is nice and proofs what is still possible, even with TÜV, without cost considerations. Side note : I'm not related to the Hamburgers or even know them personally. In the end, you make your choice and the CX-platform is much more up to date regarding comfort than the trads. Seats are not that bad, I got used to them. Interesting point for you: The P6 allows about 20km/h more speed than the Roadster without loosing the cap for me, that is the advantage of the higher body/screen.
