Just to round off this thread. As stated I got my leads from Mr. Retro Leads. Anthony was very helpful but it did take three goes to get the right set. He did resolve things quickly though. He has had a lot of trouble with the specs for Morgan leads so my advise would be to fully specify what you need. That is: colour, end connectors (90* or inline), length for each individual lead. That way there should be no issues.

That's an awful lot of extra weight, but at least it's in the right place.

Well, it is low down which is good .... but I think I'd have it well inside the wheelbase to reduce polar moment .... not a lot of room for that in the older cars so it goes where it fits! smile .... proper Snakes Nest!

No but you may notice improved cold starting much as if you fitted gold palladium or iridium tipped plugs which due to their finer centre electrode spark at a lower voltage.

Coils are surprisingly dense, so yes 24 in one go is a lot of kg's (or lb's back then)

It's also a thumbs up from me for Mr Retro Leads. He has just made a set for my '99 Plus8 and his service is first class and they arrived 4 days are ordering. I have no connection to the business.
Happy Christmas everyone.
John.
