I’m conscious of the ground clearance on my series 5 Aero (standard suspension) and following a very useful discussion with Cain over at Wolf performance I’m considering fitting an Aero sump rub plate. I’m guessing this is a popular modification as Cain’s currently out of stock? Does anyone have any experience of fitting one and has it relieved the anxiety when approaching speed humps?

I have one. Happy with that. Still anxiety is still there anytime the road is not fully flat.

Had Ledgerwood fit it at a previous service - don't think it has saved the day thus far but feel safer with it - cost £400 - £500 fitted

Yep, it should be a standard fit! I'm sure it's saved my sump on more than one occasion.
Even with the Wolf sump guard I was still very conscious of just how low the car is. There's some sleeping policemen that the sump plate touches-but-glides over, even at creeping speeds.
A side benefit of the SSL suspension is that I've raised the ride height by 10mm. Sacrilege to some, I'm sure. But you'd need to put two Aeros side by side to notice the change, it doesn't alter the day to day spirited driving on country roads... and town driving has become a whole lot more relaxing.

First scraping noise means it has paid for itself. Next one's free!
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

The first scrape on the guard might have cracked the sump - with total oil loss!
With a Morgan - a sump guard is essential.
Good Luck

Definitely worth fitting one.... I had to have my 8 in the garage twice (to replace the sump plate once and the plug twice). And neither hits were hard.
But consider the plate as a 'rubbing plate' rather than something that makes your sump bullet proof. When you know there's a major or sharp hump, proceed over with great caution and you'll feel the plate making contact.
Bell & Colvill fitted mine as I didn't fancy tackling it without a full lift.

I got mine from Revolutions in Perth. It’s not fitted to the sump, it’s more of a rub plate. It fits to existing bolt holes ie fitted to the frame, not the engine. and has a relief hole for the sump drain. I think a engineering guy up the road made it. It was a mandatory extra and I think cost around £200. Russell Paterson was the contact.
