Having recently bought an early GDI I am in the process of checking the car over for the fist time. looking over the car I am confused about the fuel filter, does a GDI not have one?
I have followed the pipes from the top of the fuel tank all the way to the engine with no song of such a beast, is it me or am I missing the obvious .....?
The only thing I could see is something on the return loop, appreciate if someone could put me out of my misery!!!!!
Cheers Ken

Not sure about later Morgans but all later modern cars have their fuel filter incorporated with the fuel pump assembly in tank. Usually there is a large screw fitting in the top of the tank to access the assembly. You can remove the unit, disassemble and fit a new filter as a spare part.

Melvyn Rutter have a parts guide available on line. Pre 2014 there is a filter listed and in the fuel system diagram. But 2014 onwards it appears that there isn’t one.

I would be extremely surprised if anything as young as a GDI would need a fuel filter change at this stage of it’s life, unless it’s been half way to the moon!

Thanks guys for the responses. I was trying to familiarise myself with the car as I agree it’s not due for a change yet, just found it strange not to see one!
