Does anyone know how many or anyone else have the short screens that cars had around June 2015? I know of one other since converted to a fairborne screen. How many others are there?

As far as I am aware all us lucky owners in sunny Australia have cars with the short screens ,because the tall screens were
considered to be a windscreen ,so to get through Australian design rules would have to have wipers demister and windscreen
washers, so to get round that make them short enough not to be classified as a windscreen problem solved !

Yeah but The Australian screen is just a solid opaque plastic bar little more than an inch high. My screens are about 2/3 the hight of the standard screens. I just wondered why, for a month, they changed them

I converted mine myself to short ones as I was looking through the originals with one eye and over the top with the other.

I took them out and just cut some off the top!

They appear to serve no purpose whatsoever. Almost like Morgan said, "screw it. dumb law. our owners will get the joke, they're resourceful and will solve this themselves'". Kind of like the US headlight idiocy to conform to DOT 'motorcycle' standards.

mine came with short screens. I put a brooklands windscreen on the drivers side, which is nice as I can adjust it to be able to easily look over it when it rains or fogs up

my 2018 has the standard height windscreen. It is almost too tall. I like to look over the screen like I do on my motorcycles. I will say they do provide great wind protection. I thought about the full screen but it gets hot in the summer here and I like to have the wind blowing across me as much as possible.
