[quote=3Gs]those disc front wheels look sweet!
+1 and easier to clean!!
Unless they're made of carbonfibre they will add further to the unsprung weight and impact the handling (looking for good reasons not to want some....!)
I would suspect perhaps a reduction in weight if all aluminum as compared to steel rims and steel spokes. Would be swell if MMC wouldgive some specs on them, or one of the few dealers that might get them could weigh them and share the info. Better yet, divulge who provides them to MMC.
Hi lightspeed. Yes i tried this a couple of years back. When the 1909 ev came out, my then Morgan dealer knew 1 of the guys that was involved in the design. I asked, well said i wanted a pair, he said no problem, when i go there next i`ll take a pair, well purloin i guess. But nothing happened as Morgan only had enough for the proposed run of ev`s.
I little while later i called MMC, and the response i got was less than favourable. At the time Morgan where not interested in specials as they called them. Now might be good time to asked again.
From a previous article and photo, which i cannot find at the moment, if you look closely at the inside of the wheel you will see either rivets, big ones or bolts on the inner rim. This would make me think that the wheel is made of steel as there would be no need to make it in two pieces if it was made of an alloy or composite.
By the way, a post appeared on my social media just last week saying that Krazyhorse have just bought 10 that are spec-able.
On more than one occasion i have emailed and phoned all likely suspects in regards to wheel manufacture. Most said no. Noticeable, i got no reply from Wheller wheels.
