Could also be the boys from Customs or Border Force.

Nearly run one over today in the town centre. He looked about twenty, smart uniform and big helmet on and half stepped in front of the Aero without looking but then realised his mistake and jumped back onto the pavement.

Wouldn’t have been a great career move (for both of us).

Wish I’d had the dash cam on though.

Some years ago I was overtaken on the Salisbury ring road by 3 black Transit vans, with Blue lights flashing from almost every light.
My son, at the time, worked for HPI in Salisbury and was able to check the registration.
All the information was blocked with a note to contact the Police if there were any issues.
Digging further revealed they were linked to a specialist anti terrorism unit linked to an army base in Hereford and the number plates are changed regularly.

Sometimes it pays to to ask too many questions.

It's fairly common practise when you work for the Ministry mine were blocked for twelve years during a particularly sensitive period.

A fun time yesterday on Thruxton's skid pan, courtesy of Misssion Motorsport, the forces motorsport charity
https://www.missionmotorsport.org/

Conditions were perfect - cold, and bright.
After a first session spent gyrating at 4mph, I got through the 2nd session with just the one spin - and it was a shock to get back on public roads, and feel the bite in the steering :-)

It would be interesting to repeat that exercise in the C63, a bit more power, but masses of computer trickery to help keep the car in a straight line.

I've seen the Police use branded Van's on raids, like either rentals or well known companies.

Our number plates were blocked in Customs. In fact Departmental cars were not taxed until the Irish troubles changed that policy. They were not insured either at that time. It was good old Crown Indemnity.

Peter those people unfortunate enough to have traction control made it look very very easy!
The chaps in the caterham, MX5, and I with only our right foot to keep control of things had a lot more fun, I think

Will,

have you watched the display drivers at Mercedes World drifting their AMG 63s round the wet circuit part of the track?
They have to turn all the support systems off to do this, but they CAN be turned off, 100%, other than the mechanical LSD.

I would love how to find out how to turn the damn nanny off on the ML63. Drives me mental.

I don't think I will try drifting it, private or public roads!

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
