I regularly do that to decant lpg from a big calor bottle into the little and ridiculously expensive Campimg Gas bottles than my boat takes. Have to be careful not to overfill but provided its done outside in the open air there is little real risk. Mind you I once did have the ball valve in the little bottle fail to seal and a jet of liquid butane spraying 20 foot acroees the driveway..

Had an LPG Volvo once - a Volvo factory fitted system. It was cheaper to run than the petrol version by some margin but had a real world range of 200 miles and a filling station, of which there were plenty in fact, was an additional journey.

Looking seriously at buying a leccy car. With a real world range of 250 miles and a home charging facitlity, it will cover all our needs. The overwhelming daily use is less than 100 miles

We are fortunate to have a bottle filling outfit in our marina, but watching the casual way they work I always shuffle backwards into the car park!
