With Ford slowly pulling out of Bridgend and a highly skilled workforce on tap the welsh government will have bent over backwards to get Inneos to locate about 12 miles from their assembly building. His choice I hope we stick a big tarriff on it. Em

Maybe the perceived market is in Europe in which case it makes sense, but I just don't see it somehow, I guess this'll be a short lived operation?

Given the car is intended to target the old Defenders patch that would seem a bit odd? Did the sales stats for the old Defender show well for Europe? I don't remember seeing many when I was travelling around the EU. Like most of the world a Double Cab Pickup seems to be the workhorse of today. If it does end up in the aspirational-yuppie end of the market I would expect the new Defender to give it a bit of a drubbing?
I agree that the Britishness was part of the sales angle and the lack of it now does reduce the interest.

Em, the Ebbw Vale F1 track is a prime example! Circa £9m and a lot seemed to disappear into the developers pockets! Allegedly. Similar false hopes for the battery factory planned for St Athan. Now going to Northumberland.
