An OBD reader/reset is a very useful tool. Not expensive. I also use mine for live running checks as it monitors temperatures of fluids, oil pressure, revs, plus many other variables. Handy for checking the effects of changes made.

I paid for the better Torque app I think £2.5 & the dongle as about £10 a few years ago. Well worth getting hold of.
Info on it here Torque
Of course there are others out there which might be better.

Good morning gentlemen, one last question I took your advice but can anyone tell me where theOBD socket is located ? I’m assuming somewhere under the dads but I’m buggered if I can find it.

Thanks again

On my 2006 car it was on a long lead behind the battery. On my 2014 car it is next to the cigar lighter on the under tray below the dash above the handbrake

On my 2002 car it is under the dashboard above the transmission tunnel. It hangs there on its wires but can be taped in position. The standard positioning for cars is within a short distance from the steering column but varies from make to make for exact position.

Couple of suggestions from John V6, but on my previous Roadster it was tucked up above the passenger footwell & not at all obvious without rooting around with a torch

Most seem to be tucked up under the dash, usually cable tied to the wiring look and often difficult to spot! However, other positions have been used. It is, after all, a Morgan! smile

Good morning, found it. After removal of the dash it was really hidden away, now I’ve positioned it in an accessible location

thumbs smile I have heard of some where the OBD port is hidden above the dash loom.
Needle and haystack? smile
