Has anyone had an issue with one of the rear catches? On my 2003 Plus 8 the RHS always engages correctly, but not the LHS. Looking down the holes, the RHS has a sliding plate which moves when you pull the release handle and you can just see the cable, but not the LHS. I'm guessing something has broken off - any idea how to access it? Many thanks.

Yep. Take the spare wheel out and look behind the base of the Cobra. You'll see the release cable. These catches are standard bonnet catches - possibly Ford, but maybe Land Rover........
The cable is Hit & Miss with lots of free play.

Be very careful how you treat the rear hood frame. They have been known to break and replacement is pricey. Later rear hood frames are stronger.

Thanks Dave - it is as you say. The catch was in fact there, but the 'catch' was it had got lazy so a slack handful of WD-40 has solved it. Champion.
