In 2010, the Trussell Trust handed out 41,000 food parcels. !n 2019, the number was 1,900,000. Les Restos du Coeur in France handed out 130 Million meals in 2018 according to this report. Les Restos du Coeur

It didn't take long for Rich boy to reveal his true colours, what a bottom he is... Jacob Rees-Mogg accuses Unicef of 'playing politics' over UK food campaign. Full story make sure you have a settled stomach first and no offensive weapons within reach.. I'd do time for him. Seriously.  Boris manages to repress that side of his character?

One of our own TMers does more for the community in a week than I do in a very long time. I won't name names, but he volunteers at a local foodbank and has harrowing stories of young professionals with mortgages, families, and car loans who are without work and desperate. It's not just about the stereotypical poor any more.
He volunteered and drove most days for the NHS at the start of this crisis, despite being in a high risk group. I expect that this year, as in previous years he will be volunteering in a cancer ward at a large hospital on Christmas Day. Most of us could do more to help our communities but making that first move is hard, especially as things are, and yet its never been more needed.
A woman at work used to volunteer feeding the homeless in Sheffield. They used to sleep under the town hall shelter overnight in huge numbers. Then the Town Hall was demolished.
These people are saints. I can only look on with complete admiration and respect.

Our village has produced some very unlikely unsung modest heroes and it's a pleasure and an honour to know them.
The 170 school children and lonely folk will all get a present this year delivered by Santa on his tractor and trailer, it started off as a Church fundraise and got a bit carried away.

They seem to have had the cover over his cage for quite a while now, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before he opened his mouth in order to put his foot in it. I will never forgive him for his appalling and insensitive remarks about the victims of Grenfell Tower.
