Certainly looks like it.
I went to the Bonhams Winter sale last weekend, there was a Honda CBX1000 which went for £5,500 on the day.
Today the exact same bike is now on Ebay for £9,950, its just has a quick clean!

Looks like the same car. £2750 is not a big margin once a service, any repairs and a warranty are accounted for.

I am impressed with the 166,000 mile V8, gives me faith that there is a lot of motoring left in my own car.
As regards a bargain, a 2001, reupholstered, a nice colour at 23k it is a least 12k below some others in dealers.
So it must be attractive and indeed a bargain to those who don't necessary want a low miler

I nearly bought this car when it was for sale from the original owner in 2002-ish?

It was at Rob Wells Libra Motive garage in Finchley N. London.

The bodywork and leather are a very attractive colour combination (IMHO) . The ONLY reason I did not buy it was the wire wheels , after 32 years of +4s with wires I wanted alloys on my next car.

Just one point on the engine , at 2001 it should be a 3.9 Hotwire , not a GEMS 4.0 , so I would check that is has not been changed.

I have now covered 65,000 miles in my +8 and am sure it will exceed 166,000, as long as I have the mental capacity to drive and there is fuel for it.

Andy, I tread very carefully when querying your Mog knowledge, but in this case are you sure about this? My March '02 is a Gems and i always understood that the Gems was introduced in 2000?

Andy

My +8 was a GEMS 4.0 car, it was nowhere near the first and was built in late 2001, it wasn’t registered until February 2002 at my request. I bought it from Rob Wells. It was one of the 28 cars the factory built after 9/11 to fill cancelled slots.

I have seen a few 2001 registered cars with GEMS, mind you I would not be surprised to see a 2002 3.9 you know how it is.

My 2002 is Gems. Mind you, if they found Hotwire units in the stores they could well have been used in cars in build. It is often the Morgan way.
What have we got? Let’s use it.
Where did that come from? Let’s use it.
Why are we keeping these for future spares? Let’s use them.
innocent
Spare engines? Let’s create a limited edition to use them out of the way....good profit earner too! laugh2
