I work for a well known Japanese Car/Motorcyle company. One of my Japanese colleagues, on hearing I owned a Morgan, asked if I could arrange a trip to the factory. This was duly organised and I decided to take the opportunity to "order" a replacement piece of carpet for my car, via a phone call a few days before our trip.
On arriving at Malvern, we were treated to a full tour and I was told that when I got to the trim shop to ask for a particular person. At the Trim Shop I was duly shown two rolls of carpet and was asked which type matched my car. I told the man and he said the carpet would be cut ready to take away by the time we had finished our visit.
The tour was fantastic, my Japanese colleague was treated with huge respect and courtesy. But on driving away (with my new piece of carpet); the first comment my colleague made, with amazement was "I can't believe they stopped production for you". Brilliant. . .
