We were over at Torquay hospital for a routine check up today and it was sad seeing five humungous cruise liners still parked up in the bay and seemed a sorry old site somehow, I can't help wondering if they will ever be fully employed again..
It looks like being some time. I suspect some of the smaller firms might run out of cash soon. This article is a good summary of what is happening at present in the cruise industry: Cruise Lines Continue to Delay Resuming European and American CruisesCarnival and some others have already scrapped some older ships.

The local boat trip guys in Torbay were taking people out for trips "spotting a cruise liner" which of course appealed to my sense of humour... Well they are a floating village  Article on the ships.

I doubt anyone will go cruising for a long time sadly. Carnival is taking bookings for 2022, I understand....

I doubt anyone will go cruising for a long time sadly. Carnival is taking bookings for 2022, I understand.... They may be taking bookings, as are some of the other operators (we have received deal offers from Azamara, Regent and Silver Sea in recent days) but we won't be booking until there is some certainty.

combine it with a trip to see Up Helly Aa.... tho if you're taking a winter trip up there you should pack a spare liver Refuse any invites to a wicker party.
