This question contains an unnecessary adverb.

We have put off cruising until we see what is happening with health concerns on board. Shame as we have enjoyed every one so far. Cunard in particular have been superb. We are choosy about picking lines, ships though. Too many passengers is not for us. Also facilities on board that allow for less crowding due to large numbers. Most times we sail fromSouthampton. Stay/park at a nice hotel the night before including a taxi to the terminal. A relaxed start. Sooooo much better than the airport cattle herding.

Cunard in particular have been superb. "My husband is a Ship's Captain. He works for Cunard, you know" "Well my husband is a Doctor. He works very long hours too."

Spaceweather. SOLAR WIND, INCOMING: A stream of solar wind is approaching Earth. Estimated time of arrival: Jan. 17-18. Its source is a Southern hole in the sun's atmosphere. NOAA forecasters expect the solar wind speed to top 500 km/s when the stream arrives, probably sparking Arctic auroras? SOLAR MINIMUM CONDITIONS ARE IN EFFECT: Solar Minimum, how can we miss you if you won't go away? Sunspots have disappeared, leaving the sun as blank as a billiard ball. Without sunspots, the sun's X-ray output has flat-lined, and the chance of strong flares has plummeted to less than 1%. Solar activity is very low.
The return of Solar Minimum is only temporary. New Solar Cycle 25 is well underway, and only last month the sun was peppered with spots every day. Young solar cycles often "take a break" as they gather energy for the ascent to Solar Max. Indeed, new sunspots might be just around the corner?

Spaceweather. GEOMAGNETIC UNREST EXPECTED: For the next three days, Earth's polar magnetic field may be unsettled. The reason: A solar wind stream is approaching Earth, due to arrive on Jan. 18th. Solar wind speeds could top 500 km/s--not fast enough to cause a full-fledged geomagnetic storm, but possibly enough for some beautiful Arctic auroras?

Spaceweather. SOLAR SECTOR BOUNDRY CROSSING: Last night, skies over Finland turned shocking green! What happened? Earth crossed through a fold in the heliospheric current sheet--a vast wavy structure that separates regions of positive and negative magnetic polarity in interplanetary space. This is called a "solar sector boundary crossing"; such crossings can cause geomagnetic disturbances around the poles.

I checked a couple of times last night but there was nothing visible here .... I think we're in for a few cloudy days so may miss it.
