Pics for you anoraks....tell me whats different about this one. 2 items....One's easy. Car is like brand new as you will see from the detail hub shot. Even the leather is still matte but its a shame that there are some careless digs in the leather. Will try and touch up. Problems with the car so far (you knew there would be) Passenger window doesn't work (new switch fitted) Air conditioning no worky...could be gas but blows hot all the time. Aweful squeaking from passenger side dash. Any thoughts on the above would be cool. No Burberry handbag....really need one...looks horrid without.

Looks awesome. I really like the woodwork in the cockpit. In my car, the windows all work fine, the air conditioning is 'au natural' and therefore always works, and if I have any squeaks in the dashboard, I really can't hear them over the motor and wind.
The motorized window could have a few things wrong - motor, switch, or alignment of its operating framework (sissor lift). Check the fuse first and then if that doesn't help, get an expert to look at it.
Airconditioning could just need re-charging. The system may have a leak.
With the squeak, you could tighten some bolts. First see if you can pinpoint the rubbing that causes the squeak.
Its a beaut'.. Happy motoring.

wow, I had never seen the cockpit of one of those, that radio is really out of the way. Is it as difficult to reach as it appears?

Looks fantastic!
Are there ducts in the front panel? Mine does not have these. No wings on cowl? I dont have them either!
I also bought a series 1 garage queen about 18 months ago - mine on 6k miles.
Also had air con issue. Mine had a new control module and a wiring mod which is apparently a quite common issue - there is a factory fix for this which believe it or not disables the recirculation function!,
See you still have what look like original Pirellis. My car had been stored under cover all its life but the compound on the tyres had gone hard and handling was lethal - would seriously consider changing them if they are original.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

Cheers Guys
Sloany, Yes GTN ducts in the front air-dam. Badge was a factory delete option I think. But there is another difference from the norm and thats the extra louvres in the bonnet.
Aircon problem sounds like it could be the same as yours......sounds expensive.
Tyres are original and I guess I ought to change them.

Lovely looking car Viper, quite a steal it seems! I'm sure you'll soon sort out the minor items that need fettling and it will be as new. Incidentally, our Series I (June 2002) was delivered without a cowl badge, they weren't ready. It was retro-fitted by the factory on one of its visits there. Not all Dealers did the same for their customers even though it was obviously an FOC fit, and that would explain this one and yours too Sloany. Enjoy...

The squeak may well be that the tape on the front top corners of the bulkhead, where it rubs against the back of the bonnet underneath, it needs a coat of vaseline regularly. I have had the wiring break off the electric window switch, however it could be that the cable drive has broken, although this usually happens with the window down on my S1.
Cheers
George
