Thanks Jon. It was frankly a bit odd being out as I have stayed home since Monday & will probably only go out again on Mon to shop.

Had my first dose of vaccine today at Epsom hospital, two visits in two days for different reasons.
The vaccination centre is doing good business and is very well organised with stewards and nursing staff working to a pretty tight routine.
Just in case anyone might be squeamish or uncertain about this, it is very well done with questions about allergies and compatabilities with existing conditions and medications. The jab was painless quick and had no side effects for me, it may be different for others although the numbers in that case are vanishingly small so far.
Here is hoping we can all get to this point soon and back behind the wheel.

We were both surprised and pleased to get invitations today to complete the vaccination forms which pre-empt appointments.

I always assumed I was a latent war baby but Val corrected me and explained we were baby boomers being both born in the late 40's.

Chatting to a couple of 80 year olds we know in the village they both had their first vaccinations before new year. It must rate as a historical moment that Norfolk is at the leading edge of anything. A bit like Hull being voted "City of Culture" a few years back leaving locals gobsmacked (once it had been explained what culture meant)!

I had a week in the area, just as they were digging everything up in preparation for the City of Culture. I assumed it was 'culture' like you grow in a petri dish.....

Graham, given that roughly 1 mile in the other direction the plod were moving on people for daring to sit on benches along the seafront it does seem odd. These sea anglers bring tons of kit including little tents and seats that they sit on!!!!
