It would be great if you can find a tuner to sit in your passenger seat but good luck with that. Few use the protune software so I found it nearly impossible to get help.

The Morgan pulls really hard throughout the range with the cams

2sharp, since i did cams and rollers at the same time i never got to feel/notice the difference of adding the roller rockers. What sort of a difference did you notice?

Having been passed on the curves heading up from Sperryville to Skyline drive, I would agree

Because of my limited understanding of what’s necessary to properly remap an ECU I’ve made an error. An open road tune with a lap top using Protune connected to the ECU will not properly tune the engine. A proper calibration also requires hp and torque measurements provided by a dynamometer. The only dynamometer made for M3Ws I know of is at Krazyhorse in the U.K. I’m not aware of any in the U.S. My local V Twin performance shop is owned and operated by an American V Twin master mechanic who has worked closely in the past with the S&S R&D division. They are very qualified to work with the X Wedge engine. I’m going to have to go back and talk with them.

Too funny. I was just trying to keep up with Emil.

Stephen I did not notice a huge pick up with the roller rockers but they are so pretty. I put the roller rockers in shortly after the cams were installed.

Thanks 2sharp. I thought that might be the case but when I was installing the cams I noticed roller lifters, or they appear to look like rollers so I figured it could not be all bad.

Would the same to be said if you were NOT using ProTune?

The new open ECUs are from Emerald.
