Kevin I haven't yet, due to not using the car much at the moment with the work ongoing to it I have delayed refurbishing the wheels (changing matt to gloss), changing the tyres and fixing the dodgy sensor.

Depending what this year brings I may or may not sort it, if I am unable to use it I won't want the new tyres to sit for a year or more ageing, so I will do them in 2022 then. I figure as I do low miles and the tyres have a 5/6 year shelf life I don't want to lose a decent chunk of that if its not being used anyway.. fingers crossed for a better year!

Was doing some more searching today on tyre valves and came across this old thread at http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/220271/aero-8-s1-tyre-pressure-monitoring-system which said that Brian Miller on 01494 448158 had a source for the valves a good number of years back in 2014. According to google the number is for Miller Commercial motors who do Morgan Servicing.

Am going to give them a call on the off chance they still have said source but thought it was worth asking if anyone had any knowledge of them?

Brian retired a few years ago, well versed in the S1 quirks I think his fitters took the place over Morgan was a bit of a sideline.....Em

They did my S2 check when I was buying it and sorted the sensors out as part of it.

Let us know how you get on Kevin, if they can source the originals I would prefer those on mine than having different ones programmed in.

Have just talked to Russel at Miller Commercials and he is going to try and dig out part numbers for me at the weekend but from memory he said they are BMW X5 parts and are a sensor strapped to the rim with a big jubilee clip and not valve based.

BMW apparently gave up on them quite quickly as they were too sensitive and always giving false positives for pressure drops. He said in his experience it was usually the central monitor which was the main culprit and where it was positioned in the S1 with all the heat didn't help its lifespan. He thinks I may be letting myself in for a whole world of pain reinstating it as it will probably drive me nuts but will try to help with the tyre sender units if I decide to go ahead.

I'm going to try and check the pcb on the central monitor this weekend to see if it's still alive before deciding if I will just replace it with and external monitor with new valve style senders.
