I use a product called Ride-On TPS. They do several formulas. Motorbike, Car, truck etc. I have used it since 2001 on the bikes, 2006 on the cars, it can go in the inner tube on tubed tyres and works OK. Also, the bike formula is suitable for untreated/uncoated alloy wheels. Some brands are not good for motorbike wheels and cause corrosion issues. The other nice thing about Ride -On is it isn't too messy when it comes to tyre changes on tubeless tyres.

Bad news is, the UK distributer stopped bringing it in. I bought most of mine when I was visiting USA and got some from UK guy before he stopped.

As for how good is it? Well, I cannot say with any certainty, but I can say that I have never had a flat tyre on any vehicle with it installed, only on those that I haven't got around to fit.

With over 60k in Aero ownership never had a puncture but scraped 3 wheels and one beyond repair, I carry two holts tyre repair thingy just in case I have used one on the tin top a few years ago and works very well unless its a gash......Em

Having a browse and interestingly Michelin now do a Cup Sport 2 tyre with Connect, which uses their Track Connect system.
Basically the tyre has a built in holder for their sensors, which connect via an app wirelessly on your smart phone, which gives you a ton of data as well as tyre pressures.

God to admit it looks kinda of neat.

All this tech available today my son loves it. I don't own a mobile phone have never sent an e mail or text it infuriates the hell out of him but my wife is up to speed with the real world.........Em

I have a set of the Cup2 on the Coupe and have to say now is not the time to be working out if they are up to temp as you will find the bushes telling you before your app does! Mind you at least you will know it's going to happen.

Ditto the Dunlop semi-race on the front of the good ladies Mini. You have to work hard to get them sticky and then a puddle makes you do it all again!

Next replacement will not be so silly-bu***r focused! PS4S I suspect.

Do you mean not up to temp, or do you mean it doesn't matter in winter your hitting the bushes regardless

How have you found them in the Spring to Autumn months btw? Do they still take ages to warm up or are they not so bad when you have a decent ambient temp, say 10degrees or over..

The Cup 2 on the Aero are the best of the semi-tracks I have used to date. I am heavy on the brakes and throttle where conditions permit given we are talking about public roads. I don't track the cars but do live near Basingstoke which is home to a big collection of roundabouts.

I had a set of earlier Dunlops SportMax Race on the back of a 585hp E63s estate to try and tame it. On a hot day they warmed up quickly and were great for traction. They broke into a slide more evenly as well. First ten/twenty miles whilst I was warming the engine they could have been made of teflon wrapped in lard. I think they would have been a real challenge in winter but the good news(?) was they they did not last long enough to get to winter. 5000 miles and they were ready for a quick elevenses and the knackers yard. I went back to more conventional tyres after that. I almost got 90,000 out of one rear set of Continentals once.

The Cup 2 on the Aero were good for the short period I got to use them prior to being locked away for winter then COVID so they probably only have about 1000 miles on them so far. They were not as bad as I expected when cold and did not disgrace themselves unless you gave it too much boot quickly. They began to grip quicker over what felt like a broader range than the Dunlops did but different car as well. The E63 had a big turbo torque monster engine where the Coupe has the nice 4.8 V8 with a smooth power delivery by comparison.

The Dunlop SportMax RT I put on the front of SWMBO Mini R56 CooperS have been good. They are not fully track day but seem to work well. You have the added benefit of being able to warm them up quite quickly with a spot of wheelspin if needed. They are not so hot when it's wet as they go from hot/warm to shiny/cold in one big puddle. They also seem to snap quite a bit more from grip to slide.

I think the Mich PS4Sport would be a good sweet spot if you don't use them heavily in winter.
