Many thanks for this. I've just ordered an interior mirror using the code. Super.

They emailed me with the code, so I placed an order on the Sunday and received an email order confirmation. After a week, nothing had arrived and no further emails.
Over the last three days I have queried the order using online contact form. No reply. Sent email to enquiries@, no reply. Sent email to sales@, no reply. Put a request for help on their facebook page - it was deleted. Sent a FB message - no reply. Sent an email to charlotte@ - no reply.
Finally dragged the phone out (I HATE using the phone). Item not in stock. Thanks for letting me know.....
Got them to cancel the order and refund, and have ordered from eBay. Cost me 4 pence more than the Holden discounted order and will arrive on Friday.
Won't bother again. It infuriates me that companies advertise email contact/web form contact and then don't respond.......

I've now had three emails telling me they are short staffed. One email saying 'out of stock, can you wait' a week ago would have been better

I was fortunate in that the mirror I ordered arrived well packed a couple of days later. But it really is annoying emailing companies and receiving no reply. It does them no good at all. But they don't seem to realise it.

I remember in our police ops room someone in marketing ( yes..we had a marketing dept!) set up email as a means of contact. We also had voicemail. We dropped the email when it was pointed out that another force had a full on emergency warp factor 9 attendance incident that was not picked up immediately. We pointed out that every means of incoming communication needed immediate checking. Voicemail was marginally better but only just. For a business to not routinely check and deal with emails, voicemail, messages suggests a less than well thought out and efficient business. All they need to do is delegate someone ( set up a rota) to check daily or twice daily for messages and deal with them. Maybe they think they are too important to do the menial, customer connection jobs? Perhaps not thought out customer care? Mind you last time I ordered from Holden I ordered the wrong variant part. Phoned them, explained, apologised, sorted easily. It was pre Covid, though. Covid provides an easy excuse sometimes. I do think some businesses need to think things through a bit more.

This kind of service could be why they didn't last long as a Morgan dealership.

17 years ago, I worked for a firm that sold multimedia call centres to organisations to ensure that every potential form of incoming communication was correctly prioritised and dealt with.

At my previous employer, if someone left a message on your office landline, eg you were on another call, within a few seconds you got an email with a link to the soundbite? file sent to your 'puter and mobile
It was actually very good as I could listen to landline messages when out on site & decide when to reply, also when you arrived back in the office your desktop phone flashed with 'message left' to remind you

What annoyed me most was that my 'Is anyone checking emails? Sent three and no response' message was deleted off facebook within minutes, but they still couldn't be arsed to respond!
I ordered three things that weekend. Coincidentally all out of stock. The other two companies (Melvyn being one) had emailed me by close of play Monday to say 'sorry, out of stock, you can either wait for stock or we can cancel/refund'. In both cases I said I'm happy to wait (not like I'm going anywhere). Had I recieved similar from Holden (even with 72hrs) I probably would have kept the order.
