2012 4/4 1.6 The exploded view of the dashboard In the parts book that I have, shows what is probably the immobiliser warning light connected to the loom by a separate connector. This is then taped back into the loom and blinks away under the dashboard. You can see it reflected in the chassis tube covers! I suppose it should be connected to the little lens between the 4 switches - but access is blocked by the pcb. I’d like to reposition this light to below the dashboard, so, can anyone advise a) how long is the tail that’s taped back into the dashboard loom? B) is there really a connector in the wire, and could I just connect an extension or a new bulb C)has anyone attempted to re-route the wire? D) am I likely to upset the immobiliser if I muck about with the light? Thanks in anticipation

Not sure if it helps but some useful info here on the LED indications of Ford PATS immobiliser systems. The wiring schematic shows a 1000mm long cable as part of engine loom terminating after a further 50mm in a five way connector to PATS sub harness although only four connections employed.
