I've always used Gott & Wynne for my Morgans.

The thought of trying to explain to some pimply youth in a contact centre that a Morgan doesnt have a wooden chassis fills me with dread!

A friend had a misfortune and wrote his new Plus 4 off....the claim was settled in full in days rather than months or weeks

I have made a claim with Gott and Wynn many years ago, was handled very promptly and professionally Having said that I now insure my Series 5 Plus 8 with Admiral as I did my Plus 6. Much cheaper than the 'Morgan' insurers and the policy details are the same as the typical Morgan insurers except for no track day cover. Admiral also sell classic car insurance if your car falls in that age group

I use Headley and have for many years for my +8. Had no problems and the one claim was dealt with to my complete satisfaction by Hiscox. Also when we had problems with our Green Card in Albania and Montenegro back in 2015 our out of pocket extras were re-imbursed.

Had to laugh at this as the same thing happened to a chap over here, he had his +8 insured through a standard Insurance Company (Progressive). When it was stolen and damaged they would not pay out as they didn't know and he hadn't declared it was a soft top, cost him a fortune but the premium was cheaper.

I have been with Gott &Wynne for 4 years now, this is just 5 reasons why I have stuck with them.

1. Own choice of repairer for accident damage and windscreen replacements i.e. Morgan specialist

2. Unlimited windscreen cover (some insurers will only pay a maximum of £500 per windscreen claim)

3. Agreed Value option at nil charge

4. Do you need to put the hood up anytime the Morgan is left unattended? – sometimes referred to as ‘hood warranty’ or similar this would be a standard exclusion under most motor policies on the market and is very restrictive, i.e. if going in to pay for your petrol you would be expected to fully secure and close the hood – something that we Morgan owners in general do not do, so it has been removed from G&W policy.

5. Cover for track days and hill climb events if required.

So G&W get my vote. thumbs

I have been with Gott & Wynne for 20 years and only ever had 2 claims, both for windscreens.

On both occasions the cheque was with me before the credit card statement.

Superb service and wonderful people to deal with, no drama or charges when I have swapped registration numbers or when we moved house.

Agreed, that’s it’s not about the cheapest quote but paying nowhere near these numbers! Chose Peter Best this year. They gave the third cheapest (specialist) quote and got the best reviews

For my BGTV8, Peter Best was cheapest by far, and I was with them for maybe 20 years. But for my Roadster, in 2008 they were a lot more expensive, so after one year I went with G&W. Still there.
