Opinions?

Given only 2500 M3Ws of our existing model have been produced and S&S is no longer supporting the XWedge, do you think the value of our M3Ws will increase and will we be able to fix them in the future? I do understand S&S sold the rights of the XWedge to another company which I feel is pretty poor but how long will that last. I have faith Morgan will continue to support this model M3W because they have supported their 4 wheelers for a long time.

I’m not implying we should all sell our beloved M3W. I’m not. Just curious what you all think.

In the three years that I owned mine, second hand values rose significantly and I am sure will continue to do so, particularly for the more desirable Euro 3. In 2017 there were still plenty around at under £30,000; now it would be near-impossible to find one under £31,000+. They may be occasionally frustrating, but they are such fun - and lots of potential buyers know it.

Who bought the rights to the engine? Engine parts and Centa parts and clutch parts and bevel box parts are the key and unless you live next door to a Morgan dealership you are probably S.O.L.

I don’t know who bought the rights Steve.

I agree M3W55, the M3W is one of the most unique and on the road sensory engaging vehicles I’ve driven. Still enjoying it.

I own a few other Classics where parts are theoretically very difficult.

In every case someone somewhere has the bits or knows where to get them made. I have no fears whatsoever about the long term parts position for the M3W.

I am also confident that the values of our cars will not suffer in the slightest from the cessation of production and rarity, probably the opposite.

As M3W55 says, they are such fun. Any shortcomings are massively outweighed by everything else.

I have a 1934 M3W and broke a rear hub (don't ask). Found another in the UK that was a perfect match for an 80+ year old car. Yes, fanatics will keep our cars on the road for many, many years to come IMHO.

That’s true.

There are a lot of really old cars still on the road and beautifully maintained.

The X wedge design and manufacturing rights went to Thailand, will probably end up powering Tuk Tuks or something, well they are 3 Wheelers!
