The rear spindle nut needs to be very tight, in the order of 160lbft tight. It's only the friction that the tension in the spindle creates that stops the spindle moving out of alignment. The adjuster screws and bars play no meaningful part in holding things in place against the forces generated between the drive belt and the tyre contact point; they bend really easily.if the nut isn't tight enough. I'll stand by my description of the correct way to do up the spindle as "effing tight, then tighten till you can get the pin through the castellations."

Good approach Those adjustment screws are clearly there to help space and angle it with the spindle loose, they’re nowhere near strong enough to support everything safely.

The older you get the longer the wrench handle you will need. I am just about hanging off the wrench to loosen/tighten that castellated nut from below with mog on lift.

Money is heading the list with QC last on the list. That is how mine came as well, and I doubt the US dealer checked it

How on earth does a brand new M3W leave the factory and the dealer with the belt loose enough to be moved down by 2 inches ???!! My brand new M3W had a severe pull to the right since brand new. After spending $500 for a local dealer to investigate and confirm, they filed a claim with Morgan, which never rendered any action or update. Finally fixed it with the Empire Suspension - the castor was off by 3.5 degrees. Go figure...

Wow 😳 I long ago established that the amount of “passion”, “pride”, and “craftsmanship” car and bike makers proclaimed was inversely proportional to how well screwed together their products were 😅 British or Italian vs German for example. Anyway, car was picked up around noon and Oakmere (dealer) called me around 4 to say she was ready to be picked up. Naturally it’s set to be pouring it down all day tomorrow... ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/rF2fC6X/00-E0-AACE-0874-4-F6-D-A6-EE-941488-C43168.jpg) And one of her not on a trailer... ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/2y7kzWq/4703-E93-F-753-F-4063-A29-B-8-E389-F55-CF23.jpg)
