Agreed its childish fun but my M3W always puts a smile on my face when it pops and bangs

Last year, I'd had a little fiddle and set her up a little too lean. However, I had a glorious run down through Cheddar Gorge as she popped and banged all the way. I think the general public were a lot more forgiving as it was a classic Morgan.....

I do remember that pre-covid one coughed to cover a "pop or bang" now -- one makes sure the "pop or bang" is as loud as possible to cover the cough!!!!!
