Nothing as long as you don't stand on the seat

Very easy and impresses the locals...
Not recommended if the hood is up though.

Nick, I'd love to have the youthful athleticism that would allow me to do that, but fear that if I tried I'd end up in Casualty...

What Nick failed to say was that at 6ft 8 and an inside leg of 48" it easy to step over the closed door wink

And it dies them no good just sitting there unused. So, a deep breath and sold it. I walked away from the dealers without a backward glance. I do miss it at times but I think it’s the great times I had with it that I really miss.

I’m sure I spotted Nero at Williams this morning ?

That is Neero, so the last owner has either chopped it in, or put it up for sale.
Williams want £44,995 for her.
19,750 miles.
What was the mileage when you sold her Jays?

Maybe they never found the water leak that plagued previous ownership for years.

Its an interesting dilemma, I bought a very low mileage aluminium XKR a few years ago, it was absolutely as new after a little fettling of the things which deteriorate from lack of use, I only used it in the summer and then only sparingly as its perceived value was in its low mileage and I was very aware of its venerability to lack of use with all the complicated electronics etc though it was my pride and joy I decided to part with it towards the end of last year. My daily driver is an L494 RR Sport which is great but has been throwing up little problems because I have only been doing short journeys due to restrictions. I have often contemplated a Morgan so with a vacant space in the garage I set about looking for a low mileage 4/4 with the intention of using it as a second car to enjoy not to preserve, my reasoning being that most current journeys are short and solo, the car can sit for a while without causing issues, it wont depreciate like at anything like the pace of a Jaguar, its fun and almost all of it can be repaired or replaced as necessary. I ended up buying Monty, a 2009 +4, Richard Thorne delivered the car to me in mid December, I have used it only when there is no salt around but have thoroughly enjoyed it so far and spent days in the garage fiddling and fettling and polishing, I even carried out a full service, something I would never have contemplated with the Jag, in fact, the last time I changed the oil on a car myself was I believe 1985. The Morgan experience is almost unique, it takes me back to the joys of my early days of car ownership, its robust and not as complicated or delicate as a modern sports car, it can sit waiting for the appropriate weather and above all its just pure fun.

I guess what I'm suggesting is think carefully before you part with it.

Don't rush into selling. Yes the past year has been cruel but you might be surprised at how you feel when lockdown eases and you can drive it. If you feel you want to move on after using it again then fair enough. Remember that you might regret selling at a time when you could be using it again.

I thought Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure eventually solved that?
