Maybe they never found the water leak that plagued previous ownership for years. I thought Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure eventually solved that? I don't think so, it was tried I seem to remember but it persisted I think and was one of the reasons for selling it combined with falling out of love with it..

I don't think so, it was tried I seem to remember but it persisted I think and was one of the reasons for selling it combined with falling out of love with it.. And the never quite cured front end vibes? IIRC - which I might not

Maybe they never found the water leak that plagued previous ownership for years. I thought Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure eventually solved that? Yes, it is Nero. It had done around 16000 miles when I sold it. Good old Captain Tolley eventually did the trick regarding the leak but I also had to seal up the holes that the heated screen wires ran through....which was the main leak point. The main issue was the fact that the scuttle profile was flatter than it should have been so the windscreen seal never sat firmly down. Whilst working at the factory I still saw cars going through like that so I guess there’s others with similar leaks. The dreaded Morgan shimmy? That came and went. Improved a bit by fitting the Minilites which were better balanced than the original alloys and the shimmy depended on road surface. The factory’s view was that some do it and some don’t and I suspect that with the crude front suspension it’s not really surprising. The factory had it for a couple of weeks and found nothing amiss regarding the geometry of the front end, just that the original wheels were not good. It was still a cracking car with all the mods I did to it.

Jays, what was the issue with the original wheels ? I ask because my 3.7 is on MMC alloys

If you don't need the money keep it ,it is better a Morgan in the garage getting very little use than money in the bank getting very very little interest . Undeniable wisdom in this statement and I would like to borrow it for the purpose of persuading others not to do anything they might regret; like selling a Morgan.

Don't rush into selling. Yes the past year has been cruel but you might be surprised at how you feel when lockdown eases and you can drive it. If you feel you want to move on after using it again then fair enough. Remember that you might regret selling at a time when you could be using it again. I am quoting this as we are moving towards easing of lockdown. Having spent the last year under lockdown the sacrifices of not doing normal things is about to be changed. I think we all have wondered about how we move on BUT don’t let the thoughts and emotions that have built up influence you yet. I don’t know how you use the Mog from limited drives to longer trips or jumping in it for the hell of it. You should get out in it a few times first and see how you feel then.
