I have left lights on the “auto” setting since she was born and at present have only effectively started her up once a week without issue. ‘Fraud I don’t have tech ability to have a clue....sorry Robbie....I haven’t been putting the Ctek charger on yet because I discovered the connection doesn’t work now in the cigarette lighter socket (don’t know what the term is off top of my head) so that is one (!) of the things the dealer is going to be sorting out for me soon...it’s a Mog after all... Good luck HB

12.3V will start Tarka. Anything less than 12v illuminates the dash, but the starter solenoid only clicks. Remember that you probably have to have the car in neutral with your foot on the brake, if an auto, or the clutch depressed, if manual, to start.

I would add, without wishing to patronise, if you have the starter button, you do have to put a fair amount of pressure on the brake pedal at the same time. I found that a light push wasn’t enough and it didn’t even turnover at all. But after a couple of attempts I realised I was being too wimpy on the brake. Apologies if that isn’t it! HB

Charged the battery and all is well. Just thought that maybe the central locking shuts everything off as when opened I hear the fuel pump - perhaps reverse is true!! Anyway it starts now!
