Work continues apace on the new 3W and I must say when you now look at the chassis compared to the first prototype, it looks a much more technical car; at least to us non-engineering types!  A new drive shaft has been developed which should take care of the problem of the torque spike, the theory was explained to me but it went straight over my head. Anyway, here are some less technical aspects of the 3W. The new wider drive belt on the 3W...  3W bodies ready to be installed on chassis'   This version of the engine, with part chrome/polished, does imho look smart  Whilst I'm not so keen on the sharks-teeth on the front, I do love these MOG roundels especially on the Superdry silver.  A tail end photo...

It does look like great workmanship, but is anything actually produced by Morgan, or do they simply put the pieces together? I had heard that most of it is sourced out.

The ash frame is certainly Morgan as is the upholstery, paint etc.
The chassis is outsourced as is the superformed body and of course the running gear, but then surely that is little different to other Morgans....the chassis have always been outsourced since the beginning as have the front and rear wings of the trad and the superformed body of the Aero.

I'll be interested to see what the production front tyres are. The ones on the prototypes are the same as I've got on my 1930 Super Sport Aero, and it's a lot slower!

The front tires are 19-inches by four-inches Avon 65-series Mk II. These tires have surprised every single automotive journalist up to this point with how much grip they feel compared to what they thought they would feel. Im not sure why Morgan would switch to something else considering that they found something that works.

My understanding is these tyres have a 90mph rating. OK on my three wheeler which is supposed to do 85mph flat out (I'm not that brave), but the new car is just a bit quicker!
