Looked over the Brooklands this morning, seemed in excellent condition. Managed to take some photos of the frame, looks to have the A brace welded in. The owner said her late husband looked for a newer frame but the lower portion of the frame appears to be that of the earlier builds. Not sure though. Unfortunately the pictures are to large to attach here. If anyone is whiling to give the photos a look I'd be happy to email or text them. Also, the owner had purchased the front suspension geometry correction kit. Would that be needed if the frame was newer? The anti-bump-steer or “Comfort Kit” has been standard for a good while, if you have it then the problem is solved. From the small number of photos the frame looks to be in good order, maybe only a dry-miles vehicle? It still has the old bottom wishbone brackets, MMC will replace theses for circa £900 or for free if there’s any cracks in the vicinity. Another fail point is the front facing voltage regulator. If it’s on rubber bobbins and square it will probably fail at some point and need replacing with a Harley unit that won’t need the rubber bobbins and is mechanically a direct replacement but will need minor fiddling with one battery terminal washer that is too small.

It does look like the chassis fitted is a post 2014 one. If this is the case it will not require the lower chassis suspension point modification. If the rectifier is mounted facing towards the LH wheel and there is a NVH kit on the BB mount, this should confirm it as a post 2014 chassis. If you have photos of these areas it would be good to see them. It appears to be a well looked after car from the clean chassis. Is the geometry correction kit that was purchased possibly the Empire (Krazy Horse) one? If so it is a bonus.

The Brooklands is a dry vehicle, not sure it has ever seen rain which is very impressive given it lives in Seattle. The deceased owner was fanatical, when it came to maintenance and keeping the M3W clean. planenut- Thank you, yes the geometry kit is the Empire racing package. I'll take some more photos and post them in a week. Going back to see the Morgan with s fellow M3W owner to diagnose the check engine light.
IMHO- Thank you for photos and information, greatly appreciate the help. This forum has been an amazing source, not sure I'd purchase a Three wheeler without TalkMorgan and the wealth of knowledge on here.

Those brackets will add some protection to the plywood under the tanks, I am not sure what else ? looks like a "feel good" fix to me

Are the lower wishbone brackets an optional upgrade? I ask because my 2020 build M3W does not have them, which surprised me.

They are the retrofit fix for cracked tubing in that area, I can’t imagine why they aren’t standard on a 2020 vehicle.

The lower wishbone mounting bracket modifications are only needed for pre 2014 specification chassis, no post 2014 chassis are known to have cracked in this (or any other) area. Raincityrider, it looks like the Brooklands is a post 2014 chassis and that the car has been well looked after, only an enthusiast will go to the the bother and expense of fitting the Empire kit, I would give it some serious consideration. Is it green or one of the few polished aluminium ones? Polished aluminium is an expensive option but the green looks good as well, very "classic". Just ensure the exhaust has the latest type of mounting with three rubber bobbins, or it will be a problem. Sorry for the thread drift about fuel tank mountings

planenut- No worries at all the tank talk, it's all useful stuff. This Brooklands is Green, I've owned a polished vehicle and will never do so again, massive pain to keep clean. I've made an offer on the Brooklands pending the cause of the check engine light. Since the Morgan comes with the Empire kit, I'll probably take a Saturday and put it on.
Then it'll be on to an oil tank, fuel system upgrade and who knows from there! Sure am looking forward to having it in my garage!
