Yes you can remove PPF without damaging the paint no problem, just pull it off very slowly. It can be a little hard to pull, so by applying a little heat with a hairdryer will make this easier.

First thought is why remove it, it really does protect the cars vulnerable area’s but if your decided against it and buying from a dealer why not ask the dealer to remove it first as a condition of sale?

I would leave it on. But as Colin says ask the dealer to remove it.
What car are you considering?

Thanks for the replies guys ,
I personally dont like PPF, i know it has its advantages ,but i would prefer a car without it on really ,my purchase will be for my retirement and hopefully the one and only for long term ownership and i need to choose the right car for myself , it is frustrating at the moment seeing cars i like and they have just sold ,
i am just browsing at the moment Johnv6 and would like to get a drive in a couple of different cars before i make a decision.hopefully this will be possible soon,

My advice is to leave the film in place. It protects the running boards especially, but you will get stone-chips on the wings and cowl, and the film does help.

I've added extra film to mine around the B post where the side-screens rub, and along the bottom of the doors, which may also rub.

Bear in mind when looking for a car that some dealers leave cars on their website after being sold, to create the impression of a good stock.

So ring as soon as you see one you like, don't dwell on it long.

Like others have said I would leave the PPF on, (it's worth around £800) Mogs have a very stone chip susceptible front end shape

Dave W's book would be of use & also the recent one by Phil of Allon White's focusing on Plus 4's

Keep the PPF. It should be virtually invisible if properly applied so why let the paintwork get chipped which won't be invisible ?

Try a few and then the car will find you. Good luck & we are all here to help. No question is too stupid.
