Hallo All,
I'd like to shorten the gear lever. My Roadster 3.7 has the version with the ring below for the reverse gear. Is ist even possible to shorten that version?

I made enquiries about this 3 years ago and drew a blank. So, any information or news that you get would be very interesting.
There is no doubt that, to me, the gear shifter is too high; a lower shift would be much more “to hand” than the current position.
I will watch this tread with interest.

US Mustang owners seem to be into the modification / custom scene, surely there are some kits available for import ?

I was surprised Jon but couldn't find any UK sources or importers although plenty of kit manufacturers in the USA. More on the MGW ones here. To fit the Roadster a kit that relies solely on attachment to the back of gearbox needs to be used unlike the factory Mustang. ETA: standard throw is nearly 4 inches at centre of ball so significant reductions with these kits.

Interesting stuff. But for me too high engineering. I just want to shorten/cut the lever. But I see the problem with the reverse gear.
