Thanks Jay, I was at the factory as well today, around 1300 -1500. As luck would have it my car was in the paint shop so could not get a really good look at it as it was in the process of being masked up.
Looks like I will have to buy some more tools smile

Hi Jeff,
Welcome.
I'm another from down under who visited the Factory in early August last. One of the most memorable days on our trip.
We arrived back home in Christchurch and by weeks end had placed an order with the NZ agent for an Ivory +4. He had a build slot up his sleeve so it is now in build. With a stroke of luck we might have it pre christmas......cant wait.
I am finding this forum a real source of quality info.
We are cycling Adelaide to Melbourne in April next year, perhaps we could meet for a catch up to compare notes.
Happy Morganeering.
John.

A couple of weeks ago Graham.....fancied a change from my 320d Touring and one less dog to carry around so it fitted the bill nicely. Two "british' cars now...just need to chop the 1200GS in for a Triumph!!

I'd stick with the GS - shaft drive for one thing. I owned BeeEms for a lot longer than the Triumphs... Not that there's anything wrong with them. But, since leaving the Boxer engine I've always thought ankles and lower legs were 'exposed'.

We've gone off topic but how are you enjoying the MINI? Find mine a great little car, even though it replaced the Boxster...

Cheers,

The MINI is great fun.....more so than the BMW to be honest. That was in Msport spec and the ride was unyielding to say the least, never mind tracking on poor roads! Thought I'd not like going back to front wheel drive after so many years away from it but it's no problem.

I'll stick with the GS....I've had a lot of boxers over the years and they get under your skin. I've had three Triumphs in the past, Bonneville T100, Thruxton and a 1050 Sprint ST and enjoyed them but they've always been second bikes to the BM and often ignored in the garage!
