No need to work it out for yourself, just follow the instructions.

Thanks for the picture, that is where mine is running on the bevel box pulley. I think I am going to space the rear sprocket out so that if it wanders to the inside it will not hit the tire. Would hate to experience a rear blow out at any speed.

I had a 3.5mm spacer made to move the rear sprocket outboard so that the belt does not run off the edge. Also had new flanges made for the sprocket. 3mm steel instead of the stock 2mm aluminum. Test run was successful. Will see how this holds up with some mileage.

Just noticed an ad on F'book for a bike belt(/chain) laser alignment tool. Trying to work out if that would help with the M3W belt alignment - probably yes for the alignment to the wheel, but wont help if the BB is out of alignment...
Advertised laser alignment tool working against the rear sprocket (hmmm would it fit with the flange in place?): https://www.tru-tension.co.uk/product/laser-monkey-motorcycle/
MTWC article referencing a standard builders alignment tool to place against the wheel...: https://www.mtwc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Bulletin_January_2018_PW_protected.pdf

That's a good price . I've use a magnetic one that fits to the sprocket on my bikes, but it was much more expensive.

I had the same problem and was told they all do that, you need a new hub. Then I looked at the price of a hub !!!!!
After sitting down and giving the problem a lot of thought and measuring, I came up with a relatively simple spacer that solved it for good.
A Saturday spent working on it and job done, this was last year and I fitted a Supermax sprocket at the same time. Total cost a piece of Alloy bar and my time. The belt runs exactly on the sprocket now.
PM me if you want pictures and details.
Ian

Did the same as the belt was running 5mm off the sprocket so fitted a 5mm spacer between the sprocket and the hub. Job done!
