I've just had the suspension on my 2011 +4 overhauled by Cain at Wolf Performance.
I had originally taken the car around to have him check the fit and identify any potential interference issues with a set of Minilite centre lock wheels I'd acquired, only to discover that the SuperSport wings are slightly wider... so ditched that idea! (anyone with a Roadster fancy a set?)
Whilst up on the lift we discovered quite a few wear issues with the SSL 5L rear so decided that a complete overhaul of the suspension was in order.
Cain is not someone who just unbolts something and the simply sticks something else on! We had a long discussion about my requirements and discussed some of the particular foibles with my car, such as more resistance steering left than right and a tendency to wander.
Cain's starting point was to measure everything and we discovered that the wheelbase was different on either side, the cross head frame was out of alignment and castor and camber needed addressing, issues that are pretty typical on our beloved Morgan's and could be seen as part of the character of the car.
Cain then proceeded to manipulate the cross head to make it level, symmetrical and set castor and camber at more modern angles. Kingpins were also aligned to prevent them distorting when bolted up.
At the back end, everything was measure again and every element examined. I was quite an early adopter of the 5L rear and later versions include significantly more robust threads on the turnbuckle. Mine were bent so replaced with the latest version. Alignment of the 5L wasn't great, and there was wear in the bushes, so again, Cain was meticulous in measuring and adjusting every element and eventually he was satisfied that it was square, level and not interfering with anything else.
On the steering the rack had some play in it so this was replaced with a faster turning rack and the track rode ends were inverted to reduce bump steer.
With all this done, what is she like now to drive. Well... she now feels totally planted, holds a straight line without constant corrections being required, and going around corners is a revelation, she really sticks to the road and will go around a bend or roundabout at a speed which is quite alarming!
Doing this wasn't a cheap exercise, but the end results have elevated that cars handling, increasing my confidence at higher speeds and the more planted feel, make driving less tiring on longer trips.... Roll on the summer!
Finally, there are some photos and short movie clips of some of the process on the Wolf Performance Instagram page for those who are interested.

In our house we refer to Mr Cain @ Wolf performance as "The Morgan Whisperer" following his transformation of our Morgan 4/4 suspension from a banging and crashing bone shaking floppy car to the planted and secure handling machine it is today. So am pleased, but not surprised, to read that RogerQ's +4 is driving far better following its trip to Wolf performance. As the man said - roll on the summer!

Hi Paul
I paid £1,000 for them & I’d like to recover my costs if possible.
There are no tyres on them, the standard tyres fitted by MMC were Avon ZV5 205/65 R15 which aren’t expensive.
Regards Roger
