I would guess the city with excellent quality of life would be Frankfurt

I would guess the city with excellent quality of life would be Frankfurt Nope, going for life quality you would rather end up in Munich than Frankfurt. But the city we are looking for is far away from Germany. The skyscraper at the right side of the night-pic may help to identify the city. During daylight parts of the top look like gold plated. Yes I think the original photo was taken from high up the Eureka Skydeck building which has about 90 floors.
