As we all know, driving a morgan out and about requires a bit of digital fettling with fingers getting trapped under tonneau covers, hood assembly’s, side screens and a whole manner of avoiding sharp metal bits, trap points and press studdedness
If you have office hands like mine then there is the odd occasion where a finger draws blood while messing about and usually involves much swearing
Anyway I was out in the Morgan taking it to the tennis club this week and cut my finger fettling the hood assembly on the back of a press stood while stuffing the hood and my hand blindly into what I thought was a pocket
Tip is to always keep a packet of plasters in the glove box or somewhere very accessible while driving
I do have a first aid kit buried in what is a boot under the hood but I only noticed the drip of blood while back driving and managed to create blood stains all over my tennis whites and magnolia leather cockpit as I tried to drive with my finger swapping between my mouth and gear shift
I had to stop in the end and make a bandage out of a face mask from the glove box as I don’t think I could have got to the first aid kit without further blood staining

I think we have all been there at some time and for those of us on blood thinning pills it is even worse. I'm sure I lost about a pint out of my left arm last week before I could stop it.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

With my latest DVT my doctor put me on Xarelto and as it has been two years and the DVT not 100% going away and coming back whenever he lowered the dose I am probably going to stay on the higher does for life. Good news is I don't bleed as badly when I cut myself like I did on Warfarin, the bad news is no alcohol but I don't mind as I was never a heavy drinker.
I expect putting the roof or tonneau cover on my MGB once finished will have similar issues. If so I expect Magnolia leather is not a good idea and should go for blood red just in case.

Thanks for that Steward,
I have been to the edge of this a couple of tomes - today I will drop the box of plasters...

Hope you plaice the first aid box somewhere more convenient in future, maybe then you won't be so eel.

There is a reason Officers wear dark brown leather gloves and Marines wear white gloves when in ceremonial blues. When returning the sword to its scabbard whilst marching you could catch the inside skin between thumb and first finger, with brown gloves the blood couldn't be seen. When giving the order to fix bayonets you would first listen for the clatter of a misplaced bayonet and then when you had a chance look at the white gloves to see who had seeping blood, then you knew who had not followed the drill correctly.

Ouch! Very interesting
